Cleon vs Swan

Ajax wanted to be the war chief, as was expressed by the confontation between he and Swan in the graveyard. The other members, knowing the consequences of what could have happened if Ajax became the leader, persuaded him not to. I don't know if Swan could or could not beat Cleon, but for the most pa...

Cleon vs Swan

Tough call, I do not think that the "best" fighter is often the leader. A leadership role takes on more than an ability to fight -although as a gang member it is an important quality to have. Personally I think Ajax was the best fighter, the toughest in the group, but no one wanted him to be the war...

Coney Island Now

Looks like it was "preserved" for the past 25 years since the making of "The Warriors."

Here's another stupid but fun question

On top of that, I think the information on the radio informed the Furies of the apparent path the Warriors were taking. The Furies probably knew what gang ruled the pieces of turf in the area; after the Orphans were wasted, the Furies probably had a feeling the Warriors may pass through.

Quick fantasy poll

After what Luther and the Rogues did to the Warriors, I would have wanted the Warriors to kick their butts. The Riffs can have what was left.

In The City lyrics

I was just looking at the lyrics of "In The City" by Joe Walsh and although I have heard the song many times over, I never truly looked at the words. I just found it so fitting to the film and especially the look on Swan's face when the Warriors arrive at Stillwell Ave. Somewhere out there on that h...

The Best Moment

Before the fight with the Punks, Swan non-verbally tells the rest of the gang to pile into the men's room.

Rembrandt and the subway map and a Rembrandt blooper

As was mentioned, the maps were hard to follow, and I think Rembrandt was a newbie to the group. It is not surprising that the Warriors did not travel far from their turf, afterall they probably wear their "colors" all the time; and by going into another borough, this may provoke fights from the gan...

Yes indeed, if the hit is hard enough. Moreover, Ajax missed the cop with his swing thus opening himself up to the blow from the nightstick. That's gonna leave a mark!

The Lizzies

BigMike7 wrote: The comment about their "dudes" being up in the Bronx was a good way to get the Warriors mind off any other gangs.
I think so too, their actions as well as the group name (Lizzies) kind of implies a certain sexual preference.

talk about ignorance in the press. And if Cyrus was killed by a knife, then it must have been his own men.....Hey, IT MUST HAVE BEEN MASAI! He must have wanted to be the big boss of the Riffs.

James Remar needs a good role

At times it is better to gain popularity as an "older" actor. It is wasy to type cast younger actors. They do so many films with similar storylines, it becomes difficult to break out of the stereotype. The transition is sometimes difficult to accept the actor in other roles. I just hope he gets a ch...
