The Spring 2005 edition of LOOK magazine published a great five page feature on The Warriors. There's some great quotes and an interview with Walter Hill, Sol Yurick (author), Walter Hill (director), Lawrence Gordon (producer), Frank Marshall (executive producer), Michael Beck (Swan), Deborah Van Valkenburgh (Mercy), David Patrick Kelly (Luther) and Tony Scott (director of the new movie). In addition, there are some great photos of Michael Beck, James Remar, David Patrick Kelly and Lynne Thigpen 26 years after The Warriors. Interest in The Warriors was once again shown in March 2005. This time it came in the form of a three page article in UNCUT Magazine. The main feature of the article was the "Where are they now" section. Mid-2005 saw an article come from Mass Appeal Magazine which shared the views of different people on the movie. These ranged from a whole plethora of music artists, to the president of Mezco Toyz, and myself! Game Magazines
Game Informer (issue 145) was the first magazine to publish screenshots of The Warriors game. There is a good overview of the film, and some nice recent photos of Coney Island. The cover image has been used in subsequent magazines, and at the E3 computer / video game show in May, 2005. In the UK, the game magazine PLAY (issue 129) pictured even more screenshots of the game, and also included a good overview of the film (using images from this site!). Staying in the UK. Games Master Magazine created 4 separate covers of its magazine for people to collect. Unfortunately, the magazines came sealed in a non-transparent packet so it was pot louck as to which one you got! I got the Snowball cover. The four pictured covers to collect were in fact different to those you could collect! Flaunt Magazine came out around the time of the games release but featured a cool subway cover which you an open. Of course, there were many other magazines that covered the release of the game!
